This is a chance to sample REAL cowboy stew. Wristbands will be sold for $3.00 to sample all the entries. Cowboy Stew Judging will be conducted by a panel of five judges and will be accomplished by submitting blind samples to them for tasting/grading. Winners will be announced directly after the judging with awards being presented at that time.

Country Western Costumes Contest

Are you the most authentically, or even comically dressed person at Country Western Hoedown? Don’t leave the answer to that question to chance! Dress up in your fanciest western duds and we’ll pick one male and one female from among the attendees who have the best costumes. Prizes will be awarded for both the best male costume and best female costume.

Self-Driving Taxis on Display
at the VHA Hoedown

Self-Driving taxis are coming to The Villages, FL. You can get a close-up look at one of these technological wonders at the VHA Country Western Hoedown. Voyage, the company behind the deployment of these self-driving cars, has already started testing its self-driving fleet within the community. Voyage will start rolling out a door-to-door self-driving taxi service to residents. Who would have imagined your designated driver would be a robot!
