Welcome to my world… Macey Mac Music! I have love for many music genres… Country, Rhythm and Blues, Rock and Gospel! I like it even better when I can mix it up! Singing since the age of 6, I have been performing on stages since the age of 11! At the age of 14, I feel like I am an old soul in the music world loving music from the 60’s and 70’s. My music idols idols are from this time include… Janis Joplin, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Aretha Franklin, Elvis, The Beatles and many more. Some of the newer artists that continue to inspire me include Brothers Osbourne, Delta Rae, Stephanie Quayle, Elle King and more. Developing my style has been lots of fun… I’m a southern girl from Mississippi now living in Ocala, Florida. A true southern hippie…performing my music on stage, playing guitar, mandolin and stomping my boot tambourine. Many people have helped me along the way… I was blessed to have Gypsy Carns as my first mentor, and as a duo we recorded my first album RED HOT… all my original songs Gypsy wrote just for the Macey Mac duo… Songs from this album have been played all over the world! My mom serves as my manager (momager) and I am thankful she supports me in so many ways. I will sing to the Lord all my life, I will praise my God to my last breath! Psalms 104:33
Cowboy Mounted Shooting
Cowboy Mounted shooting is a sport that combines elements of old-time Wild West Show exhibition, along with the elements of barrel racing, pole bending, reining, and many other equestrian skills; all done while using two 45lc caliber single-action revolvers, loaded with 5 rounds each of black powder blanks to shoot ten balloon targets set in a special random pattern or Old West type scenario called a ‘stage’. Some say this is the fastest growing equestrian sport in the United States. If you try it, you will understand why.
Obstacle training is done to build confidence and assist in a more trusting relationship between horse and rider. We will show you how to properly introduce your horse to scary objects. How to build your horse’s confidence and reward for bravery. How to keep him/her under control when they spook. Your horse needs to know that, at times, you are willing to leave with them, so he/she doesn’t decide to leave without you. You will be shown how to turn their leaving into staying and overcoming scary objects. You will be able to show your horse that you do recognize danger and to trust your judgment in the matter. You want your horse to know that you will never ask him or her to do something that will put them in any danger. Then you know, you and your horse have a partnership of trust.
